So, I would like to say the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander was uneventful but I got a wee bit ill!
I was sooooo sure I would be fine for the crossing as I had coped when we sailed to Amsterdam back in November but obviously it makes a difference when you're drunk and oblivious to the huge waves! By 7pm on the ferry I was just about finished my dinner when the sea sickness kicked in. Managed to get back to the cabin, undressed and into bed. Clag was sent for travel sickness pill from the Information desk and that seemed to work as it sent me to sleep and the sickness feeling went. I am proud to say that I wasn't actually sick - managed to hold onto the expensive 3 course dinner we had just eaten! Never have been one to waste food........ FG
Arrived at 1st campsite in Luarca on the Northern coast of Spain without any hitches quite astonishingly. We are pitched on a cliff top looking out over the sea and the views are stunning although it is quite breezy. Done a bit of walking, beat my kick up record that i set when i was 14 and we are just generally relaxing. Were sitting waiting to watch the Arsenal game last night at the campsite but they couldn't get a signal (even though they sent Rod Hull on to the roof to try and sort it!)
We are moving onto A Coruna in the North West tomorrow and will hopefully find another decent campsite but with a bit more tail!! CG
